GI Joe 2- Why Even Bother?

April 11th, 2013

G.I. Joe is an interesting property: As toy-based franchise, it seems like an obvious choice to jump on the Transformers bandwagon, but it also has fervent fans thanks to a long line of popular comics starting with “G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero,” Marvel’s best selling title for most of the 80s. Fans hoped that the first G.I. Joe movie would capture the action and humor the franchise is known for, but what they got was a generic action script with the “G.I. Joe” name slapped on it.

HUGO – A flawed masterpiece

May 19th, 2012

When your kids make you give up watching Sunday Ticket to watch Hugo, well, you’ve got to wonder where your life went off the rails. If you’re as cynical as we are you can probably appreciate us tearing the Oscar-winning film to shreds:
What’s up with Jude Law? Seriously, are we supposed to buy Jude Law as a doting dad? The last thing I think about when I see Jude Law is that he’s got an 8 year old son that he loves to build things with.
Why the convoluted plot? Why go through all the twists and turns with a robot, of all things, just to get at the back story of a washed-up film director? It was really around the point.
What about when they grow up? How are we supposed to imagine how Hugo and his stepsister? Handle things when they both hit puberty? And did that girl look like a Culkin to anyone else?
Why, Borat, Why??? Seriously. Sasha Baron Cohen is type cast and NOT as a loveable train station police officer. Weird choice for that role.

There Will Never Be Another Film Like The Goonies!

September 11th, 2011

The Goonies was the funniest summer movie ever made. Now that is saying a lot! Sadly, this classic can never be remade let alone copied as it is truly a classic. This film represents the fantasies of every preteen in America in not only finding treasure but also thwarting a group of villains. Hollywood has recently been creating remakes of classic films and should Hollywood do a remake of The Goonies, it will never recapture the magic and the glory of the original. Never again shall such a movie be made like this.
Sure, Hollywood could make a film like Read the rest of this entry »

Enough Is Enough, Stop Making Fake Documentary Films!

September 8th, 2011

Enough is enough with these fake movie documentaries! We here are sick and tired of Hollywood creating false documentaries that either distort the truth or create an entire misconception of the truth. Such documentary films, most notably The Zeitgeist, are pure examples how the truth can be distorted for the sake of someone’s corrupt agenda. These movies do not inspire anyone nor are they truthful, these documentary films merely distort everything that is truth. Therefore, Hollywood should put a stop to such horrible documentary films that are neither truthful nor educational.I was looking for more information and found it here. There is enough fiction Read the rest of this entry »
